On a per capita basis, the ACS is one of the largest computer societies in the world. We have a number of reciprocal agreements with overseas computer societies to ensure the continual development and promotion of the ICT industry.

The ACS also plays an active role in international affairs and represents Australia in the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP) and South-East Asian Regional Computer Confederation (SEARCC).

‘Over the last few years, ACS membership has opened a number of opportunities for me to pursue my career goals. I joined the ACS in 2001 as a student member and now serve as the Director of the Young IT Professionals Board, grooming future leaders of the industry.
