The Westpac Graduate Program
If you’re unsure of where you fit we have a rotation system so you can work in different departments to see what suits you. This’ll also help you develop a network of contacts (and friends) as well as understand cross-functional disciplines. We provide a range of generalist, specialist and international programs to accommodate your interests. We have a support network set up so you can keep in touch with us and other graduates before you even start. There’s also buddy and mentoring schemes.

Training opportunities
All grads participate in an enterprise-wide training curriculum that has been tailored specially for Westpac graduates to help them develop necessary soft skills for success within Westpac. Each grad will also participate in extra technical training more specific to their roles and business units.

What we’re looking for in you
We’re looking for team players that are after opportunities but won’t step on their colleagues to get them. We like graduates from a wide range of university backgrounds, but you will need a degree that’s relevant to the program you’re applying for. You will need to have graduated in 2006, 2007 or 2008. You’ll need to have great grades and should be a great communicator, present yourself in a confident manner and be good with people. You’ll have a keen interest in financial services and be proud to work for a strong, customer-focused Australasian company filled with career opportunities.
