CS Energy

Kick start your engineering, science or IT career with a graduate position with CS Energy. We supply approximately 30 per cent of Queensland’s electricity and operate some of the most advanced gas and coal-fired power stations in Australia.

Why join CS Energy?
Are you looking to join a company that’s ‘generations ahead’? Would you like to join an industry leader in one of Queensland’s fastest growing industries? If so, CS Energy wants to hear from you! With more than 550 employees, CS Energy owns and operates power stations in Ipswich, Biloela, Mount Isa and Chinchilla. We use a mix of fuels to generate electricity for the National Grid and the North West Minerals Province.

In late 2007, the company’s fourth power station commenced operations – the 750 megawatt, supercritical Kogan Creek Power Station near Chinchilla, which is the most advanced coal fired power station in Australia. CS Energy is also at the forefront of clean coal research through the Callide Oxyfuel Project, which has the potential to produce near-zero greenhouse gas emissions from coal-fired electricity generation.
