Career building
Maersk International Shipping Education (M.I.S.E.) is a two year trainee programme through which we develop future leaders of the A.P. Moller – Maersk Group. Our 110,000 employees are involved in shipping, logistics, oil and gas exploration, production and retailing. The M.I.S.E. experience combines practical and theoretical education with broad international exposure and vast career opportunities.
Hands on, hands up
The M.I.S.E. programme combines practical experience with applied theory. To enter M.I.S.E., trainees must hold a university degree (preferably with disciplines that relate to Business and Commerce), and be a permanent resident of Australia. Work within the trainee’s home country is combined with four, fourteen-day theoretical modules at the Maersk Shipping Academy in Copenhagen, Denmark. To succeed in M.I.S.E. you must be talented, hardworking and possess a determination to succeed.
International network
Our business encompasses many different cultures and nationalities and an understanding of the similarities and differences between them is an important lesson that our trainees learn in the M.I.S.E. programme. The time spent on the M.I.S.E. programme is fundamental in creating the vast international network that our trainees use for the remainder of their careers.
Finance M.I.S.E.
As an integrated part of the general M.I.S.E. education we offer the Finance M.I.S.E. programme for individuals with qualifications in economics, finance and accounting. These trainees will be given finance based business rotations.
Once you graduate
Opportunities for education and personal development never cease when working for the A.P.Moller – Maersk Group. Trainees having completed the two year training programme have the opportunity to apply for MISE graduate positions abroad. Through an expatriation you are provided with the opportunity to develop both professionally and personally.
